My Top 10 Website and Internet Marketing Tips for Gift Basket Businesses

If you have a gift basket business in order to start an existing one, or a related company, consider your products and gift basket business online. You need to plan in advance and know how you are going to first market. Anyone can set up a website, but no one will know it there until you drive traffic to it. So you need to learn some internet marketing tips, tricks and techniques. I have some of my most important gift basket business tips described in the following list:

1. Learn copywriting tricks to help you write your website pages. Write like you talk, use contractions, short sentences, and learn the rules for title capitalization. Articles (like ‘a’, ‘an’, etc.) and connector words are not capitalized unless they’re the first word in a sentence. Prepositions are not capitalized if they have four letters or less. Check on the Internet and keep a stylebook or grammar book handy.

2. Choose the easiest website builder available. Text (WYSIWYG -‘what you see is what you get’) editor or html editor? A text editor for website building is best. You don’t need to use an html editor like Frontpage or Dreamweaver to put up a great website! And many report they’re difficult to use. You want a website builder with an easy interface. Plan to be your own Webmaster rather than farming out work to Webmasters or programmers. Expenses can add up fast and you may need to make changes several times a week. Initially it’ll take some time and devotion to learn how to do it, but you’ll have that knowledge forever. You can build even more websites and get paid for consulting too.

3. Choose a good web host. Make sure that the host offers unlimited quantities of e-mail addresses and a lot of bandwidth or data transfer. Call or see e-mail support, to see how quickly they respond. If your site ever goes down in a high traffic period, you want to be able to keep in touch with them in no time. There are hundreds of web hosts. Find out what others choose multiple Web Host reviewers report before you. They tend to be pitching an affiliate-host or two and can not be objective. Look for complaints about the search engines to specific hosts you are researching. Sign up for monthly service fee rather than annual service, so you can evaluate further if necessary.

4. Choose the right primary and secondary keywords for your site. Do your research BEFORE you publish. The competition will be high for common words and you’ll likely not end up on the first page. There are several free keyword tools available. In the search engines type in gift basket-related words in quotes to see what the competition is using. How many pages come up? How many visitors for that keyword or keyword phrase? Right click on ‘view source’ to see the keywords in html. Look for keywords in the website and ad headlines and descriptions.

5. Write your marketing plan before you begin any purchase of equipment or software or to build your website. You need to know HOW you on your website BEFORE you with the construction of the IT market. Become a partner adding to your site? Google AdSense? Will it be a newsletter? Will you sell other physical products in addition to your gift baskets? Or do you just want a website to a digital product like an ebook about gift baskets market? Plan to make gift basket-related items by writing an article distribution and service Biogas analysis with software. You searched for get inbound links for the emphasis of your articles and press releases. So sign up for a good link service.

6. Choose the right affiliates if you plan to include affiliate marketing. Make sure the affiliates fit with your gift basket theme. Don’t add totally unrelated banners.

7. Learn how to use eBay in your marketing plan for an extra boost in sales and exposure. Use the “About Me” page to hype your website.

8. Learn HTML Code – optional, but I recommend it. A simple tutorial for free on the Internet. You do not have to write any code if you want. It is not necessary with the text editors, who do the work for you. One could spend hours writing HTML. Why? You can learn the basics in a day or so. You do not get to the advanced code. Even if you only have two or three hours you will be far ahead of the game.

9. Learn how to write a free newsletter to boost your online presence. Take dozens of other free newsletters in various fields of interest and study style and techniques. Offer your free newsletter in the beginning when you first publish your site to start collecting subscribers. Don’t wait until later.

10. Choose an autoresponder service to handle your newsletter database, send out newsletter inquiry responses and free reports you’re offering. This is a must if you plan to have a newsletter. It’s the best way to handle your subscribers, send out confirmations, and get your newsletter out, etc. It usually costs about $20 per month.

Make sure to back-up everything. Back up your website files daily, if you make any changes. I know this is basic. Make copies of your site to CDs often. Put website copies on another computer hard drive. Network two computers if possible. Anything can happen to your hard drive. A surge, lightning, age, drive defect, etc., can damage your hard drive in an instant.

Millions go online typing gift basket-related inquiries daily. I hope you find this gift basket business tips. Happy Internet Marketing!

Managing Site Profiles in Dreamweaver

When learning Dreamweaver, it seems logical to use the FTP system built by Dreamweaver … more precisely, to start the website profiles section.

Of course, in practice, you can create a working file, you need to have access to the network hosting services, this is a good domain name.

From the top menu choose: Site > New Site…

Let’s take a quick look at the profile area:

If you click on the ‘basic’ tab, you can use a wizard to create a profile…I prefer to simply click on the advanced tab and fill in the site details.

Here, for beginners, the only two areas you need to really fill in are ‘Local Info’ and ‘Remote Info’.

The local information includes the name of your site map (in this example, sample site) and the folder on your hard drive where the website files with this profile (html files, jpg, gif, etc. .. want to stay connected )

In the remote info tab, you will want to select the type of connection (almost always FTP) and then fill in your username and password as well as the Host Directory on your server. Your username and password is assigned by your web host.

The host directory can be different depending on your web host, but is usually something like:
/public_html/
or
/httpdocs/

You may have to ask what the host directory is.

After you’ve filled in all of the details, simply click the ‘Test’ button to see if Dreamweaver can connect to your web server.

If there is an error, try to find what it is and test again until it connects.

Once it connects, you are ready to create web pages and start uploading them!

One of the beautiful things about Dreamweaver is the ease with which you can manage 2,3, or even dozens of websites.

Once the profile of the site, you just, Dreamweaver, and can choose which sites you want to work from the drop-down menu will be created and ready to use for work.

I believe this is a distinct advantage over programs like Microsoft FrontPage.

All these details are covered in step by step video tutorials where you see: http://www.dreamweaverhowto.com

Making Your Own Web Site

One of the best ways to promote your business today is to put a website. Since the Internet has spread throughout the world, you definitely get to reach more people, even those from other countries. And as shown, is a very interesting job.
Probably the only thing that many people avoid making their own websites is the belief that it is difficult. Recruitment of a web designer, is also often out of the question because certainly expensive, so it would be better to do it yourself. And I find it really is easy when you know the basics.
The first thing you need to think about, in working out what it should contain. This will in its decisions during the actual design process. For example, if you're selling or promoting stuff, then you need more graphics oriented. If you are a service provider, it is better to have more text to describe activities in your website.
It is at this point that you must also come with the layout for your site. Decide where to go your banner, navigation buttons and pictures and put them in paper. Note that you need to have a uniform layout for the entire site to better organize it. Also, remember that your site must be easy to see and read, so choose the location of the various elements of the page carefully.
Now here comes the challenging part, actually creating the whole site. You don‘t really need to have any high end software to make your site, all you need is actually a text editor, like Notepad, and a basic grasp of writing HTML codes. Learning the codes is also easy since there are countless of free tutorials on the net which can read at leisure. Though you can make it easier by using point and click applications like Dreamweaver in building your site, it is still best that you know hand coding. This will give you a better grasp of how the thing works and where a problem might occur.
With that, it’s now time to check everything. Run your site and test everything to make sure that they all work properly. One rule of thumb here is that a dead link (one that doesn’t go anywhere or show anything) is bad for your site, even if it’s just a minor detail. Here, the above mentioned advantage of knowing hand coding becomes apparent. Also, to avoid such mishaps from happening, name your files and web pages in a simple descriptive manner to make it easier for you to remember them.
Once you have completed your site, do not publish it yet. See friends and colleagues to get opinions and suggestions. It should probably also spot mistakes that you yourself will be gone. These will definitely help in further refining your site more.
Once you have done all the work, you will certainly be proud of your work. You'll also find that it is certainly easy. But more than that. Try to learn more about the site's design to improve their own. You will find that this is absolutely a good experience.

Is the Xsitepro Website Building Software Simple to Use for Non Programmers

To realize people with an online presence, the importance of a professional-looking website and often pay programmers to build sites for them, but this can be very expensive for someone just out. An inexpensive alternative is a website creation software package such as XSitePro is said of the purchase, are designed for ISPs and easy to use with no programming experience. If you want to choose, with this type of option, you will ensure you go, the software offers a lot of training, has the ability to create and maintain your website without HTML knowledge, and provides advanced features you normally only to obtain a programmer. It is the aim of this article to review the XSitePro web site development software and determine whether it delivers what they say themselves, that there simply are not using a programmer.

The first thing to look at with any software is the amount of training offered to get you started right away and XSitePro does indeed offer quite a bit in this area. The software offers a 400 page manual that is written as a reference so it is not necessary to read cover to cover or if you prefer training videos then XSitePro offers 11 training videos that are over 80 minutes in length that you can access from the main website after purchasing the product. The software also includes a tutorial that will walk you through building your first website step by step. While the training aspect of XSitePro appears to be very informative we still need to decide if the software makes it easy to build a site.

XSitePro appears to start relatively easy when you choose a template and theme, with a few clicks of the mouse then start building pages. It maintains a simple page that will show a promotional letter, is a complex partner website, or a 1,000 page AdSense site but reviews that if you with thousands of pages you plan to be, want to see for another program can can build. The structure of a site was easy, as it offered a What You Is What You Get interface, where it easily in your content without using HTML is the lake. This interface allows you to format your text as you want, but I found that the formatting for the header panel is a little buggy. You can also use the spell checker but that can also a bit buggy as well, but it works. Page creation seems to be just like that keep your website updated?

XSitePro uses custom sidebars, headers, and footers so you can change anything in these sections and automatically change all pages on your site. It is also said that you can add multiple pages based on a specific keyword and you there is a find and replace feature that will change every page on your site. Once changes are made, you can publish back to your server with the click of a button. Obviously making and changing your site is fairly simple but does this software offer more advanced features to make it stand out from the crowd?

XSitePro does provide some advanced options, such as site map, the two styles of bread crumb path, a Google map, as well as a pop-up generators. You can also add custom script to each page's header and affiliate marketing, there is a redirect part of the hidden links. You can also import other applications to create web pages, create a privacy policy statement, if you need more can be exported for further changes to your entire site to Dreamweaver or FrontPage.

In conclusion I found that XSitePro lives up to the claims it makes on its webpage although I did find a few features that were a little buggy or difficult to use. If you decide to purchase this program you are offered access to an online forum where you can get more help for problems you may have with the software. While there are many software packages available for creating websites, XSitePro does appear to be aimed at internet marketers and may be a positive addiction to your tools.
